Text Art Using Photoshop

In this tutorial, I will show how to use text as a medium for an art like this.

Steps in making a Text Art Using Photoshop

After importing the chosen image for the art (take note that the output will vary depending on the image used), on the menu, select Image>Adjustments>Threshold. Adjust the slider to value wherein more details can be seen.

After applying the threshold, start filling all the black spaces with texts. Do not use font sizes that are too large. Also, use a thin font, so that it will not obstruct the other texts. The more texts, the better. You can resize the texts too, for you to occupy small spaces.

You should pay attention to detail. For instance, the eyebrows, the eyes, and the lips. In this case, you should occupy 80%-90% of the black area to emphasize the detail. Also, if you want to add further details that are not present in the thresholded image, you can refer to the base image.

After discarding the thresholded image and applying a light background, you should end up with something like this! This really requires patience, so don't rush things..

Thank you!
